You should still keep arma 3 sync, as some milsim groups will have you download their mods for a particular mission through the "repositories" tab in arma 3 sync. A few you will have to download yourself and add manually to your launcher mod list. by that you can subscribe most mods in the steam arma workshop, which means they update themselves, get downloaded with steam dl speed and you dont have to do anything, but a) click subscribe, and once installed b.) click load. instead we use the arma launcher to manage mods. Also, arma 3 sync isnt used in this guide anymore. It was discovered by me in Feb 2015 that all versions of JSRS for the past 4 years have been causing massive amounts of errors on dedicated servers so it has stopped being used and I don’t use another sound mod.NOTE: This guide has been thoroughly updated, so that the number of mods that you need for most milsim missions and server is kept to an absolute minimum.
